Privacy Policy
Coplyst is an app that tracks sneaker and streetwear drops. This policy explains what information the app handles and why. We keep it short because we collect little.
What we collect
- An anonymous account. When you open the app, we create an account with a random ID. You don't need an email or password to use Coplyst.
- If you choose to sign in with Google, to keep your account if you change phones, we receive and store your Google account ID and the email address, name and profile picture link that Google shares with us. We use your email to identify your account and, if you write to us, to reply. We never receive your Google password, and signing in is optional.
- Your username and profile photo. A handle is generated for you. If you add a profile photo, we store it. Your handle and photo are shown on anything you post.
- What you follow and set alerts for. The brands you follow and the drops you set reminders on, so your feed and reminders work and survive a reinstall.
- Things you choose to post. If you post a photo to the feed, submit a brand or drop, react to a post, or report content, we store that, along with your account ID. Photos and posts you share in the feed are visible to other users.
- Safety records. Reports you file and users you block.
What stays on your device
- Your sort and filter choices.
- Your reminders. They are scheduled locally by your phone, based on drop times we provide. On Android, we also keep a small list of your upcoming reminders on the device so they survive a restart.
Permissions we ask for
- Notifications, to remind you before a drop. You can decline and still use the app.
- Camera and photo library, only if you post a photo. We never access them otherwise.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your personal information.
- We don't use advertising or analytics SDKs, and we don't track you across other apps or websites.
- We don't collect your location, contacts or precise device identifiers.
Who handles data for us
- Supabase hosts our database, accounts, and photo storage.
- Google, only if you choose to sign in with it. Google tells us who you are; its own privacy policy governs what it knows about your use of Google.
- Image hosts. Product photos load from the brands' and retailers' own servers, which can see your IP address when your device requests them, as with any web image.
If we later add push notifications from a server, advertising, or other sign-in options such as Sign in with Apple, we will update this policy first and tell you in the app.
Affiliate links
Some links to retailers or marketplaces may be affiliate links. If you buy after tapping one, the retailer may tell us a purchase happened so we can be paid. We don't receive what you bought beyond what the affiliate program reports to us.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your account data while you use Coplyst. To delete it, open Profile in the app and tap Delete my account. That permanently removes your account, including your sign-in details and email address if you signed in with Google, the brands you follow, your alerts, your cop posts, your profile photo and other photos you uploaded, and the reports and blocks you made. You can also email [email protected] and we will do it for you.
- Drops you submitted stay in Coplyst, but no longer carry your name, and any photo you attached to them is removed.
- A photo you already viewed can remain in the image cache of your device or Coplyst's file host for a short time after deletion.
- Reminders already scheduled on your phone are cancelled when you delete.
Children
Coplyst is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
